Ohio Dairy Veterinarian Students

There are currently a lot of opportunities for veterinary students to work in dairy practice and in mixed practice.

The Ohio Dairy Veterinarians are very committed to providing students with information and opportunities that will help them as they explore opportunities in these practice areas. There is a list of veterinarians (click here for the list) that are willing to provide ride-along opportunities for students. There is also a section on Externships that includes details on some externships and information regarding financial support that is available to students that want to pursue these externships. We support the Food Animal club with speakers and provide financial assistance to students that want to attend AABP. We are also working with OSU to explore ways to insure we have enough food animal practitioners in the future. Some Ohio practitioners are exploring the possibility to set up endowed scholarships, and one practice (County Roads/Kirkview Veterinary Services, Inc Scholarship) has already set one up.
